Dear Brother Jay,
Thanks for your continued transparent journey. For me, the whole thing about religion is the creation of "Them and Us". If they ain't us they must be them and all things are acceptable to be done to "Them" including torture, even death because they are "Them".

My own journey seems to continuously remind me that I am part of all that is and there is no such thing as Them but all are us, including the serial killer and the minister pounding the pulpit reminding the faithful (US) of the journey to salvation.

I have no need of convincing any of either the them's or us's that I am right. I am a work in progress and find that acceptable.

Thanks again Jay.

Thanks, Jay. I really getted sucked into your thought process. Your writing is compelling. I have struggled for years with this "GOD" and "CHURCH" delusion. I was reared on a fairly free thinking household. The pressures of living in a church centered society took it's toll on my parents' resolve. My father fought the beast intil his untimely death. My mother sucumbed to the "comfort & salvation" lure offered to those who believe in a "Christian" "GOD". I, too, find myself tattered by my personal battle with the purveyers of "packaged truth", with thier lack of imagination and disregard for the basic tenants of objective knowledge. The whole basis of "isms" is fantasy, denial, escape, and disinterest. The whole "fatalistic" approach to living propogated by the "believers" is what has our planet on the precarious balance point it is now.

Jay. Thanks for stoking the fire in my soul.
